Cardi B. is influential in the music industry! At one point, she had almost everyone saying “okay” her way, “okurrrrt.”
During an episode of Tidal’s Rap Radar podcast with Elliott Wilson and Brian ‘B.Dot’ Miller, the Bronx rapper made a statement about her influence, claiming that she has paved the way for female artists to get signed.
T.I was also a guest on the show, and agreed with Cardi. He said, “I think she kind of kicked the doors down with being personable. Most women when they came out were extremely mysterious, you hardly heard them talk… You heard them in interviews but never really speaking in a discussion. You feel like you get more a sense of [Cardi’s] personality when she presented herself.”
