T.I almost got himself canceled last year.
During a podcast interview, T.I admitted that he goes to GYN visits with his daughter, Deyjah, since she was about 14 or 15 to ensure that her hymen was intact. This sparked a lot of controversies, people called T.I out for being controlling.
This caused a lot of pain for Deyjah, who was 18 at the time. She took a few months off of being on social media and when she came back, she opened up about her depression. She said the situation caused her to have suicidal thoughts. This ultimately put a strain on Deyjah and T.I’s relationship, he later apologized and they have been working things out.
Reported on The Jasmine Brand, things have only gotten better. Zonnique Pullins, T.I’, stepdaughter (Tiny’s daughter), spoke with Entertainment Tonight and said T.I is learning how to handle certain situations. She also said his relationship with Deyjah has improved and he’s not so overprotective.
“He’s definitely just been learning with the girls on how to handle certain things and how to go about certain things when it comes to us. I feel like it’s a lot of stuff he didn’t realize when it comes to a young girl’s feelings. So I feel like now he’s a little bit more careful. He just goes about everything a little bit differently now, definitely. He’s more sensitive with everything.”
“Their relationship has gotten better and they’ve both grown. He’s not overbearing in certain situations. He’s changed when it comes to Deyjah. Their relationship is in a really good place, actually. It took a minute for them to get to this place, but I feel like they’re just doing really good.”
