Hailing from Vancouver, MANILA GREY is the latest act to prove that Canada has some of the best budding talent that should be on people’s radars. The Filipino-Canadian hip-hop/R&B duo is most known for their hit “Timezones,” which has garnered nearly 5 million streams across all platforms.
While proudly showcasing modern eastern aesthetics, the duo found their lane in atmospheric R&B sonics to deliver an overall sound comparable to fellow CA act, Tory Lanez. To ride the momentum of their first few tracks taking off, MANILA GREY released their debut EP No Saints Under Palm Shade in October 2017, produced by South Asian producer, azel north.
Most recently, the two shared three new impressive singles, all of which work together to showcase their diverse sound. “Leakz,” “Specialize,” and “Change Me” arrived on October 10. MANILA GREY sees this slew of singles as “stamps in time for us and our journey up until now.”
