Rolling Out is officially launching its new music imprint Rolling Out Music, with “This Winter,” a soulful holiday single created in partnership with R&B artist Kevin Ross. The collaboration introduces the imprint’s creator-focused vision as Rolling Out expands from a media powerhouse into a full music vertical.
The company, led by Rolling Out founder Munson Steed, veteran entertainment executive Richard Dunn, and MusicXchange creator Dennis McKinley, is preparing a lineup of original releases, live showcases, docuseries, and sync-driven projects across Atlanta, Detroit, L.A., Philly, Miami, and New York. Instead of operating like a traditional label, the new imprint plans to serve as a creative accelerator for artists and producers.
Rolling Out Music Launches With Kevin Ross’s “The Winter”
Led by Munson Steed, Rolling Out enters its next era by blending its 25-year legacy of Black storytelling with a new music strategy built around community and culture.
“Rolling out has always been more than media – it’s been a movement rooted in ownership, creativity, and community,” says Steed. “As we mark 25 years of cultural leadership, the launch of Rolling Out Music under Richard Dunn’s leadership is our pledge to the next generation of storytellers and sound creators.”
“This Winter” sets the tone for what’s ahead in 2026.
