There was a lot of new music that surfaced throughout the week as we prepare for anticipated new releases by some of the biggest names in hip-hop this Friday.

From Saweetie and P-Lo championing the Bay Area while the 49ers head to the Super Bowl to Russ making his return to Hip Hop in 2024 to Jim Jones hitting the streets again like it’s 2008, here’s a recap of new music you might have missed throughout the week.

Russ “Drives” Into 2024 Anew

Russ is back. He previews where he is headed after last year’s Santiago with a self-produced track that features a guitar and sing-a-long melody about the story of a woman heading into the unknown. Perfect for traffic jams and cross-country adventures.



Offset “SET IT OFF” Before Tour

SIR makes a return with a D’Angelo-inspired new visual that sees him revealing himself on more than just the lyrics and emotions. “No Evil” builds anticipation for a long-awaited new SIR album. Before the new album, he will be busy performing on the festival cricut.



G Herbo & BabyTron Fix Your “Equilibrium”

Off the new Lyrical Lemonade album, G Herbo and BabyTron add to the controversy surrounding the album after Eminem disses Benzino with their rowdy visual and single. Herbo matches BabyTron’s high energy with his signature street storytelling to make one of the album’s most impactful songs.



Andra Day Navigates On “Where Do We Go”

The Academy Award nominee has made a triumphant return with the latest release from her upcoming album, Cassandra. Detroit meets North Carolina as the two rap stars show off their competitive sides on their first collaboration. Big bets, big body beauties, and playing big boy games, the collaboration is much needed to kick off the new year. Future collaborations between the two are perfect.



Jim Jones Joins Gunna Meize On “Superstar Remix”

Byrd Gang days are back as Jimmy features on the remix to the rising Dallas, Texas artist Gunna Meize’s popular track. The two match each other gritty street elements and fans will enjoy the Southern star bringing out the ‘08 Jimmy. Look forward to Jim Jones continuing his Dirty South excursions.
