Offset and Quavo appearing on the same screen again is something many fans did not expect to see, but a new FaceTime call suggests the two may be finding common ground. The moment comes courtesy of 21 Savage, who has unexpectedly stepped into a mediator role this week. After encouraging numerous Atlanta artists on Twitter to set aside long-running tensions, he has been arranging direct conversations between those involved. Earlier, he sparked attention after smoothing things over with Future following a brief exchange online. Now, he has facilitated a conversation between the former Migos members.
The call became public when DJ Akademiks reposted a screenshot from 21 Savage’s Instagram Story, showing Quavo, Offset, and Atlanta rapper Prince Ink together on video chat. The image immediately circulated, prompting excitement across social media. Many longtime Migos fans expressed hope that the two might reconnect creatively. One commenter wrote, “Streets need a quavo and offset album,” a reaction fueled in part by 21’s caption: “Album otw @quavohuncho @1princeink.” Others were simply relieved to see a peaceful exchange, with one fan adding, “I’m not mad at it… I pray that all of our black men learn how to make amends too many of them dying, we need yall.”
Reports of friction between Offset and Quavo have followed them since Takeoff’s death in November 2022, with speculation ranging from family disagreements to personal relationships. Nothing was ever confirmed, and Offset reaffirmed earlier this year that they were still in contact. Speaking with 7pm in Brooklyn in August, he shared: “Me and Quavo talk every other week. It be the Internet trying to do some old sht, but with us, it ain’t about that. Like, we holla at each other. That’s family at the end of the day, man. You’re gonna bump heads with your family sometime. End of the day, a n*** ain’t finna play with him, or a n**** ain’t finna play with me and he gon’ play about it.”
Still, 21 Savage thinks they should go further. On social media, he reminded both rappers just how much potential they have when united: “@QuavoStuntin @offset yall n****s tell the world I put yall on group text and told yall squash it before it even got far… n if yall was still together yall would be unstoppable.”
