50 Cent Expands His Empire with a Game-Changing Entertainment Hub in Shreveport
Alongside his streaming achievements, 50 Cent is broadening his entrepreneurial scope with plans for a new cutting-edge sports and entertainment facility in Shreveport, Louisiana. Following a favorable outcome at a recent Shreveport City Council meeting, he is set to lease the Stageworks building for 30 years, with an option to extend the lease for an additional 15 years. G-Unit Films & Television will pay a nominal rent of $200 per month, covering all operational and maintenance costs.
At the council meeting, 50 shared his increasing fondness for Shreveport, stating, “In the short time I’ve been here, I’ve developed a unique appreciation for the people of Shreveport. It feels like home to me, and it will be home because I have work to do here.” He recalled his first discussion with Councilman Alan Jackson, who encouraged him to pursue tourism opportunities to support the region’s development. “I’m thrilled about building these projects, and I want to assure [Councilman] Jim [Taliaferro] that — I haven’t needed to speak with you directly — I promise I’ll exceed expectations with Shreveport,” he asserted confidently.
As renovations get underway at Stageworks, the venue is set to transform into a multi-purpose hub for basketball, boxing, MMA, concerts, car shows, and conventions. With a slate of programs in motion, 50 Cent is shaping it into a year-round destination, bolstering Shreveport’s cultural and community life.
