Mike Tyson is set to step back into the ring on Friday (Nov. 15) for a highly anticipated fight against Jake Paul, the YouTuber turned boxer. As the event draws near, Tyson’s moments have been dominating headlines, and naturally, 50 Cent has weighed in with his take on the matchup.

According to reports, the exchange began when Tyson delved into a deep conversation with 14-year-old interviewer Jazzy, exploring the contrast between legacy and ego. He expressed that, in the end, death renders life meaningless, with no lasting impact.

Tyson stated, “Well, I don’t know. I don’t believe in the word legacy.” “I just think that’s another word for ego. Legacy doesn’t mean nothing. That’s just a word everybody grabbed onto. Somebody said that word and everyone grabbed not the word so now it’s used every five seconds. It means absolutely nothing to me.”

The legendary boxer went to say: “I’m just passing through. I’ma die and it’s gonna be over. Who cares about legacy after that? What a big ego. So I’ma die and I want people to think that I’m this, I’m great? No. We’re nothing. We’re dead. We’re dust. We’re absolutely nothing. Our legacy is nothing.”

Jazzy responded impressively for someone her age, acknowledging that she had never received such an answer to her question before. In a separate moment from the conversation, the teen probed Tyson about his thoughts on his opponent. “I don’t think much of him,” Tyson confessed, adding that while Paul doesn’t impress him, “he’s very funny.”

The interview raced across social media at lightning speed, and 50 Cent—never one to hold back when something catches his attention—declared that Tyson was terrifying the children. He posted on X, “Goddam it ! Mike ya scaring the kids, WTF chill. Note to self, keep the kids away from Mike.”

Tempers Flare as Tyson Sends a Warning at Weigh-Ins

HOT 97 reported that Tyson made waves again on Thursday (Nov. 14) when tempers flared at the weigh-ins. The moment turned heated as the boxer reacted to Paul stepping on his toes during the face-off, landing a sharp slap across his opponent’s face. 50 couldn’t resist chiming in, sharing a throwback interview where Tyson vented about his pet peeve: people stepping on his feet.

In the video, Tyson admits, “If someone stepped on my feet, I’d totally give up and tap out.” “Step on an older man’s feet, and s–t can get crazy,” 50 joked in his comment section, adding a playful “LOL” to the post.

Nonetheless, the wait is over—Mike Tyson and Jake Paul are set to face off in the ring this Friday night. The highly anticipated bout, part of a main card starting at 8 p.m. ET, will stream live on Netflix.
