In a stunning revelation, A$AP Rocky and Rihanna have vowed to their slick-talking attorney, Joe Tacopina, that their next bundle of joy will bear his name—a juicy tidbit dished to Extra during a Wednesday sit-down (February 19).

Tacopina, the legal eagle who deftly steered Rocky through his headline-grabbing shooting trial to a not-guilty verdict, shared the scoop with the finesse of a seasoned raconteur. The lawyer, once a legal champion for Donald Trump, eloquently unpacked the pair’s visceral response to the courtroom outcome: “They grabbed me and they said, ‘Listen, our next baby is A$AP Joe.’” Tacopina said he responded, explaining to Rocky and RiRi, parents of two: “I’m gonna hold you to that.”

The attorney disclosed the final words exchanged with the Don’t Be Dumb artist just before the verdict was delivered: “He didn’t know if he was going to go home and see his two babies that night or start a decade-long prison sentence literally that day.” “He grabbed me and he said, ‘Joe, I just want you to know, I know how hard you fought here. I know everything you’ve done, and I just appreciate you so much. We’re in this together, no matter what, and I love you.’” He continued, “That’s something that is rare. It’s obviously a very serious moment for him, and he has the wherewithal and the thought to think, ‘Let me thank this guy.’ It was special that he did that.”

Rocky Walks Free, Credits Faith as Rihanna Celebrates Acquittal

Standing outside the courthouse on Tuesday (February 18), A$AP Rocky addressed reporters, marking his win with a statement: “Thank God first. You gotta thank God first. And I really wanna thank to jury for making the right decision.” “I’m just so thankful. This is crazy right now. This whole experience has been crazy for the past four years but I’m thankful nonetheless. We blessed to be here right now, to be a free man talking to y’all. All praise be to God.” Rihanna turned to social media to applaud the not guilty verdict for her partner, posting, “The glory belongs to God and God alone! Thankful, humbled by his mercy.”

A Los Angeles jury acquitted Rocky of all charges after his defense contended he discharged a prop firearm—not a live weapon—while accusing former A$AP Mob affiliate A$AP Relli of attempting to extort him over the November 2021 Hollywood altercation. Rocky had been arrested six months after the dispute, and a conviction could have carried an eight-to-10-year prison sentence.
