Kim Porter‘s purported memoir about her time with Diddy has been pulled from Amazon amid accusations of being a hoax.
According to the New York Post, on October 1st, Amazon announced it had removed the bestseller Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice, From the Other Side from its shelves after Puff’s arrest for sex trafficking and racketeering. The company responded, stating, “We were made aware of a dispute regarding this title and have notified the publisher. The book is not currently available for sale in our store.” Chris Todd, who self-published, declined to comment on its removal from Amazon.
The book alleged shocking claims about Diddy’s abusive relationship with Porter, including gay affairs with high-profile figures. Todd initially said the story came from Porter’s flash drive, which later questioned its validity. Porter’s ex-partner Al B. Sure, along with her children with Diddy—Christian, Jesse, D’Lila, and Quincy (whose biological father is Sure)—had earlier condemned the book.
Diddy’s children speak out:
The siblings voiced through an Instagram post. “We have seen so many hurtful and false rumors circulating about our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs’ relationship, as well as about our mom’s tragic passing, that we feel the need to speak out.” The post continued, “Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue. She did not, and anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves. Additionally, please understand that any so-called ‘friend’ speaking on behalf of our mom or her family is not a friend, nor do they have her best interests at heart.” It went on: “Our lives were shattered when we lost our mother. She was our world, and nothing has been the same since she passed. While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us too soon, the cause of her death has long been established. There was no foul play.” “Grief is a lifelong process, and we ask that everyone respect our request for peace as we continue to cope with her loss every day. We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of what has been the most tragic event of our lives.”
Sure has sent a cease and desist to Amazon and Todd, challenging the book’s sale, which he says contains “false and malicious statements.”
