Angel Reese recently made history by becoming the first athlete to grace the cover of Vogue Magazine. She along with Olympic gold medalist Gabby Thomas are featured in the latest issue.
Taking to Instagram, the WNBA star celebrated her enormous accomplishment.
“COVERGIRL. IT’S ALWAYS BEEN BOTH: BASKETBALL AND FASHION,” he post read.
In the interview, Reese detailed how she’s always loved basketball and fashion.
“It’s always been basketball and fashion. But I was a fashion girlie from young too… I was always in my mom’s closet, putting on her stuff. I liked to carry a purse,” Reese recalled. “Hair done. I wanted to look put together and I still do… I used to watch America’s Next Top Model with Tyra and practice my walk in the living room.”
Reese also revealed what beauty product is a must-have in her arsenal.
“I don’t go nowhere without my Laneige,” says Reese name name-dropping the Korean Lip Glowy Balm. “I have all of the Laneige lip products and the Sleeping Mask. This is the one I always throw in my purse.”
She loves the product so much that she makes sure it’s close by even when she’s playing.
“I keep my Laneige on the bench,” she says. “That’s the key. Whenever I get back to the bench [during] time-outs, the Laneige is on.”
In her stellar rookie season as a member of the Chicago Sky, Reese set several records. She was the first WNBA player to record back-to-back games of 20 or more rebounds. With 24 double-doubles, she broke the league’s rookie record.
Back in October, Reese agreed to a multiyear endorsement contract extension with Reebok. She is slated to release her first signature shoe in 2026.
The “Chi Barbie” has several lucrative endorsement deals with brands such as Reebok, Beats by Dre, Goldman Sachs, and Topps.
Recently, she launched her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast. The show has featured guests such as Dwyane Wade. Latto, Mariah The Scientist, Kayla Nicole, and more.
