Angel Reese revealed that her WNBA salary is not enough to cover her monthly rent.

Taking to her Instagram Live on Tuesday (October 15), the Chicago Sky forward said that she “wouldn’t even be able to live” on her basketball salary by itself.

“Hating pays them bills, baby. I just hope you know the WNBA doesn’t pay my bills at all,” Reese said. “I don’t even think that pays one of my bills. Literally, I’m trying to think of my rent for where I stay at. Let me do the math real quick. I don’t even know my [WNBA] salary. $74,000?”

After sharing that her rent is $8,000 a month, Reese exclaimed, “I’m living beyond my means!”

“Babe, if y’all thought… That WNBA check don’t pay a thing. Did that even pay my car note?… I wouldn’t even be able to eat a sandwich with that,” she added. “I wouldn’t even be able to eat. I wouldn’t be able to live.”

After graduating from Louisiana State University, the NCAA champion inked a four-year contract with the Chicago Sky worth $324,383. For the 2024 WNBA season, Reese took home $73,439. Maxim WNBA salaries are around $240,000, leaving most players to play overseas to make additional money during the off-season.

Luckily, Reese is not solely reliant on her WNBA salary to make ends meet. The “Chi Barbie” has several lucrative endorsement deals with brands such as Reebok, Beats by Dre, Goldman Sachs, and Topps.

Recently, she launched her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast. The show has featured guests such as Dwyane Wade, Latto, Mariah The Scientist, Kayla Nicole, and more.

Although her rookie campaign was cut short by injury, Reese made a seamless transition to the pros, She broke the WNBA single-season rebounding record and made the All-Star team in her first season
