This was a bit of a surprise!
Ariana Grande has officially been added to the list of performers at Aretha Franklin’s funeral which will be held on Friday.
She joins a list of talented and legendary performers that include Stevie Wonder, Faith Hill, Jennifer Hudson, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Chaka Khan and more.
According to CNN, Franklin enjoyed Grande’s performance of “Natural Women” on The Tonight Show w/ Jimmy Fallon, and later met. Gwendolyn Quinn, a Franklin family spokeswoman told Free Press, “Aretha was fond of her.”
The funeral will be held Friday at 10 a.m. EST at Greater Grace Temple in Detroit, Michigan.
