Benzino has publicly responded to claims from his ex-partner, Althea Heart, signaling that he may pursue legal action for defamation. Over the weekend, Althea reignited persistent rumors about Benzino’s sexuality, sharing a series of text messages on Instagram that she says reveal intimate exchanges. In her posts, she alleges that Benzino is bisexual and accuses him of a romantic involvement with singer Bobby V.
One message highlighted her frustration: “You were actually involved with Bobby V.! Please. I tried to love you. And I have my last to provide as a mother to feel good about me losing my homes.” She followed up with, “So you’re admitting your bisexuality, oh my God.” Her Instagram caption added a pointed note of anger and betrayal, featuring a middle finger emoji: “Now I understand why you were creeping behind my back!! You #men are #nasty & #dirty.”
Benzino responds
Benzino responded Monday with an Instagram video confirming his intent to take legal action. “I don’t want to go into too much detail as this is going to be handled in court. I will be filing a lawsuit for defamation of character against this woman who has sullied my name. It’s unfortunate that her behavior has been on display for everyone to see,” he said. He also emphasized his wish to protect his privacy and safeguard his current relationship amid the controversy.
This is not the first time Benzino has faced questions about his sexuality. In 2023, he addressed similar rumors on X (formerly Twitter), asking members of the LGBTQ+ community to respect boundaries. “Attention to all in the LGBTQ, abcd!!! I respect your movement and decision to be who you are, but please stop with the weird comments and flirting. I’m not flattered because I’m not gay!! Respect that as I respect who you are!” he wrote, asserting his desire for clarity and personal respect.
