Fans have speculated about subliminal disses and the feud between Kendrick Lamar and Big Sean for years. While Sean has cleared up the rumors in his music and interviews, the multi-platinum recording artist took to X on Tuesday evening (July 16) to address trolls saying he is taking shots at Lamar in his new On The Radar freestyle.

Using Sean’s line in the freestyle, “N*ggas looking for engagement like they got they knee bent / I gotta better things to do than find someone to beef with,” trolls swarmed social media, suggesting it was shot at Kendrick Lamar.

Big Sean blasts the trolls on X, spreading the false narrative with explicit tweets. “Yall goin wit so many narratives,” tweeted Sean. “I’m talking to da haters who just keep finding something to point out they don’t like bout me. It’s not even worth explaining, tho. I’m a just focus on the music … So many people turned they back on me, so I appreciate the ones who stayed down. f*ck these b*tch ass n*ggas, every one of them.”

Speaking to Akademiks, Sean added: “Ak you know I f*ck wit you, but I’m laughing cause you know that tweet n the video don’t got nothing to do with each other lol.”

Akademiks hasn’t responded to Sean’s tweet yet. Big Sean appears to have deleted the tweets since then.

Sean cleared up the misunderstanding with Kendrick Lamar in 2021 on the track “Deep Reverence,” featuring Nipsey Hussle from his Detroit 2 album. Speaking on the situation, Sean raps, “After what happened to Nipsey I reached out to Kendrick / It wasn’t even no real issues there to begin with / Lack of communication and wrong information from people / Fueled by the ego is like mixing flames with diesel / Energy crazy, I realize that it’s a two way street.”
