Big Sean has made it clear he isn’t in a rush to marry his longtime partner, Jhené Aiko, despite fans eagerly waiting for wedding bells.

The Detroit rapper addressed the speculation during an impromptu conversation with TMZ, following rumors sparked by Aiko wearing a ring. When asked if he felt pressured to propose, Sean simply replied, “No, I didn’t.”

However, he didn’t hesitate to confirm his devotion, adding, “Of course she’s the one.”

Sean emphasized a laid-back approach to life and love, saying, “I don’t think too much about it, man. Life is short, so you’ve got to do what feels right.”

He also praised Aiko, calling her “the best.” Yet, he acknowledged that marriage isn’t something he’s ready to leap into, even as their relationship deepens.

In a candid interview, Sean offered insight into their dynamic. Addressing why they haven’t tied the knot despite years together and a shared child, he dismissed rumors of a secret marriage.

“It’s personal,” he admitted. “Like any couple in love, we’ve had our ups and downs. It’s about navigating through it all.”

Sean views marriage as a culmination of a strong partnership, not a requirement. “To me, marriage represents the best relationship,” he explained. “People always ask, ‘When are you getting married?’ But I think having a solid relationship comes first. Marriage is a byproduct of that.”

He also expressed skepticism about societal pressures around marriage, noting the high divorce rate. “A lot of people think you have to get married. To me, that’s fear-based thinking, and it’s why so many marriages end in divorce.”

While Sean isn’t dismissing the idea of marrying Aiko, he believes there’s work to be done. “She and I need to be fully aligned,” he said. “Not that we aren’t, but there’s always more to work on. Right now, our focus is on our family, careers, and everything else. Marriage hasn’t been the main priority.”

Sean’s thoughtful perspective reflects a commitment to building a lasting foundation with Aiko, even if it means defying expectations. For now, their relationship thrives on mutual love, respect, and a shared vision for their future.
