BigXthaPlug, one of the fastest-rising names in rap, was taken into custody early Wednesday morning in Arlington, Texas, on a marijuana charge. According to TMZ, authorities say the rapper was pulled over around 12:05 AM for expired tags. As the officer got closer, the scent of marijuana was noticeable, leading to both BigX and his male passenger being asked to exit the car.
During the search, authorities reportedly found cigarettes and what appeared to be marijuana in the center console. They also claimed to have uncovered a handgun inside the passenger-side door pocket. BigX was arrested and booked at the Arlington City Jail on a charge of possessing less than two ounces of marijuana. Meanwhile, Landum, 22, had an outstanding felony warrant in Bexar County. When officers took him into custody, they allegedly discovered marijuana on him as well. He now faces additional charges for possession and unlawfully carrying a weapon.
