Sean “Diddy” Combs might be single, but his heart is still in the right place.
Diddy has always been about giving back! Two years ago he opened his East Harlem charter school and now he’s making sure more kids have access to education!
Capital Preparatory Schools around the Tristate offer free, high education to under privileged children. Reported on Variety, the school got approved to open a third location in the Bronx.
Diddy’s pledge of $1 million will aid in assuring that the school will be open by September 2019. Within five years, 650 students are expected to be at the Bronx location. The other charter schools, located in Harlem and Connecticut, have a 100 percent high school graduate rate with students enrolling into four-year-colleges.
In the article, Diddy also said,
“I came from the same environment these kids live in every day,” Combs said. “I understand the importance of access to a great education, and the critical role it plays in a child’s future.”
Great work Diddy!
