Comedian and actor Brandon T. Jackson is bringing a fresh twist to the world of reality TV with his new series Makin’ A Brand, set to premiere in Summer 2025.
Presented by 1919 Distribution, Makin’ A Brand invites aspiring entrepreneurs to pitch their startups, brands, or business ideas in front of a celebrity panel. But there’s a catch — the pitches will be met not only with feedback and advice but also with sharp-witted comedic commentary. The format has been described as a mix between Shark Tank and Wild ‘n Out, promising entertainment and insight in equal measure.
Brandon T. Jackson will serve as the host of the series, guiding contestants through each round of the competition.
The judging panel includes an impressive mix of talent across music, acting, and comedy. Judges including, Yvette Nicole Brown, Chris Spencer, Joe Torry, Alex Thomas, Arrington Foster, Dr. Jessica Edwards (Zara Medical) and more.
“This is more than just a competition — it’s a platform to build, laugh, and grow,” Jackson shared in a recent statement. “We’re giving people a chance to showcase their hustle, while also letting them show who they are beyond the brand.”
