Cardi B spoke directly to fans during a recent X Spaces conversation, returning to a painful stretch tied to a past breakup that, she said, became volatile after it ended. She told listeners a former partner reacted in ways that included threats of self-harm and intimidation. “You see what happens when a bitch really leaves,” she told listeners. “We all saw how he almost wanted to kill himself when I left. I didn’t even wanna bring that situation up, because I don’t even want to like fake act, like, I’m trying to come at a n***a or something.”

She also stepped back to examine how her relationships are discussed, pointing to patterns in the aftermath of breakups. “Why they not with them? Why they don’t be with them when I leave?” she said. “They getting brand new bitches. Why did they be crashing out over me? Since it’s only because of my name. Since it’s only because of my name, since it’s only because I’m Cardi B. Then it’s like why y’all damn near want to fucking kill yourself, and y’all seeing it in real time, everybody seeing it in real time.” Her remarks moved between personal reflection and broader commentary on public scrutiny.

Although she avoided naming anyone directly during the livestream, Cardi has previously referenced tensions surrounding her split from Offset. In remarks from 2025, she suggested he had harassed her after she contacted his new partner, sharing screenshots of messages. She also alleged he experienced suicidal thoughts during that period, though those claims remain part of ongoing disputes rather than resolved facts.

Court Denies Paternity Bid as Custody Battle Continues; Claims Resurface

Legal proceedings connected to their divorce, filed in 2024, continue to move through the courts. A judge recently denied a request from Offset seeking a paternity test related to Cardi and Diggs’ child, adding another contested detail to the case. Custody of their children remains central to the unresolved filings as they continue to litigate aspects of their separation.

Outside of their direct statements, figures such as Celina Powell have also contributed to the broader narrative with separate claims circulating on social media. These include allegations involving pregnancy and financial disputes, though none have been independently verified. Still, they continue to resurface in conversations around the couple’s breakup, adding another layer to a heavily scrutinized public split.
