Cardi B. is cleaning up chatter surrounding her dropping new music.
Page Six reported that Cardi is gearing up to drop a new song with a “top male artist,” but the Bronx rapper says that’s not true. In a Twitter post, Cardi addressed the publication head-on. The Jasmine Brand reports, Cardi Tweeted,
“BARDIGANG I don’t wanna gass y’all and put a battery in y’all back.. so I’m going to be the one to tell y’all what @PageSix wrote is not true..”
Fans are patiently waiting for Cardi’s sophomore album. Her studio album, Invasion Of Privacy, via Atlantic Records, was released in 2018. It reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It’s currently 3x certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Cardi gave fans an update on it last year and said the new album was delayed due to multiple technical difficulties. Four years after it’s release, the album is still being talked about. Recently, Rolling Stone released their list of the 200 Greatest Hip Hop Albums. The publication ranked Invasion Of Privacy No. 16, beating classic rap albums like Illmatic by Nas, Aquemini by Outkast, Dr. Dre’s The Chronic, Jay-Z’s Reasonable Doubt, Lil Wayne’s The Carter III, All Eyez On Me by 2Pac and more.
The list sparked a major debate on social media. One Twitter user said “wtf man.” Another online user said, “[rolling] stone says that invasion of privacy by cardi b is the 16th greatest hip hop album of all time… this is actually insane man LMAO.”
