Chlöe is closing out the year with a special gift for her fans. On December 31, the artist shared a captivating cover of Tyla’s “PUSH 2 START,” infused with her own unique flair.
In a video posted on her social media channels, Chlöe began with Tyla’s original verse: “Come give me life, and I’ll change yours/ Who needs signs?” Seamlessly, she transitioned into a fresh interpolation of PARTYNEXTDOOR’s “F o r C e r t a i n,” delivering the lines: “We didn’t vibe on the first night/ But you’re so enticin’/ We didn’t vibe then/ But now I want you.”
The post quickly gained traction, earning over 35,000 likes within hours. Fans flooded the comments with praise. One user wrote, “So, you know we need Tyla x Chlöe, right?” Another chimed in, “You have such a beautiful singing voice, and you’re unmatched when it comes to covers.” Meanwhile, another admirer declared, “She can outshine anyone on their own song.”
“PUSH 2 START” has become a standout hit from the deluxe version of Tyla’s debut album, released in October. The track recently celebrated its second week at No. 1 on Billboard’s U.S. Afrobeats Song chart, with the accompanying music video amassing over 27 million views on YouTube. The deluxe album, TYLA+, also features notable tracks like “BACK to YOU” and “SHAKE AH,” a collaboration with Tony Duardo, Optimist, and Maestro.
Chlöe, meanwhile, has been riding the success of her own project, Trouble in Paradise, which debuted in August. The album showcased collaborations with YG Marley, Anderson .Paak, Halle Bailey, and Ty Dolla $ign, further cementing her versatility as an artist.
As for what’s next, fans are eagerly anticipating new music from Chlöe and her sister Halle Bailey. Earlier this month, during an interview with PEOPLE, Chlöe hinted at the possibility of a follow-up to their critically acclaimed album Ungodly Hour.
“I know she has a lot going on, and I’m so proud and excited for her,” she said. “I can’t wait for us to finally put together the body of work we’ve been discussing for so long.”
With Chlöe’s artistry on full display and whispers of future collaborations, the new year promises even more for her growing legacy.
