Former Da Band rap star Chopper, also known as Young City, returned to The Art of Dialogue Podcast and claimed that fellow Da Band member Sara Rivers, formerly Sara Storkes, had fornicated with their mentor, Sean “Diddy” Combs, and fellow Da Band member Freddy P. Chopper makes the revelation after Rivers appeared on the Peacock documentary, Diddy: The Making of A Bad Boy.
In the documentary, Rivers accused the mogul of threatening members of the Da Band and had touched her inappropriately. “I didn’t want to be around him unless there were cameras,” Rivers told the L.A. Times. “He touched me in a place that he shouldn’t have. That was inappropriate, and I felt intimidated. I’m definitely nervous. … I haven’t said anything for so long, and it’s built up.”
In Diddy’s defense of the claims made by Rivers in the documentary, Chopper alleged that Sara wasn’t being completely honest as she had a “secret romance” with Diddy while taping the MTV’s Making the Band 2 series. Sara was married during the taping of MTV’s Making The Band 2, with her ex-husband making several appearances on the series. When asked about Sara comments on the documentary, Chopper said:
“I’m keep it G. It’s all respect and love for Sara, but at the end of the day, I would say I don’t think that’s true. And the reason I would say that is because at the end of the day, Diddy use to come down when we had the Making The Band penthouse, this when we already made Da Band. Diddy used to come down stairs at like three or four in the morning, bruh, and tell Sara, ‘Come on,’ and she’ll get up and she’ll go with him. Then she’ll come back down four hours later, hair messy, makeup all smeared up, drunk, and looked like she got f*cked, period. And she did that three or four times. Multiple times.”
While Diddy has been accused of sexually assaulting multiple women with the use of drugs and alcohol, Chopper doesn’t believe that Sara Rivers was one of those people who were violated. He continued: “I don’t think that it’s true that-that man [Diddy] violated her. I think that she was ‘ecstatic,’ she was bucked-up, and she couldn’t wait to f*ck him. And that’s just my opinion.”
Chopper claimed that Sara and Diddy’s romance wasn’t a secret at Bad Boy Records.
“Everybody use to talk about Sara f*ckin’ Diddy, anyway, around the Bad Boy office” he said. “So, I don’t think that’s true. No disrespect to Sara, but 100 is 100. I just don’t feel like Sara was telling the truth because I seen it with my own eyes. Diddy f*ckin on that girl, boo-coo times. She was not feeling violated or nothin’. She was happy, facts.”
Before discussing Diddy and Sara’s romance, Chopper revealed that the Sara had a secret romance with fellow Da Band groupmate Freddy P. Shocking Chopper, Freddy P bet his groupmate to prove the secret romance with Sara Rivers. Chopper would breakdown the discovery that took place in a hotel room in New York City.
“The deal was Fred was going to leave the latch, so it can be compatible with the door, so I can be able to walk in,” Young City recalls. “If I walk in and see it, I lost the bet. And basically that’s exactly what happened. We was actually in New York City. We was staying at the hotel… Fred hit me on the Sidekick, and like, ‘I’m in the room — come on, I left the latch open for you.’ So I’m excited because I always wanted to see Sara naked (laughs) … I’m creepin’ and excited, I can’t wait. I open the door. I come creepin through the door. I go right. Sara is tearin this n***a up, son. I’m talkin about f*ckin’ the sh*t outta Fred. She ridin Fred and Fred lookin’ over at me, and he suckin’ his thumb. I was joked out, son, you heard me.”
In Young City’s interview, it was alleged that Freddy P and Sara Rivers romance began after her husband appeared on the series and they were known as Da Band. Young City claimed that Freddy P loved Sara Rivers, but couldn’t make it official due to her marriage to then-husband.
Chop recalls Freddy P was upset after discovering the alleged romance between Sara and Diddy. “When Diddy start knocking her down, Fred wasn’t feelin that sh*t,” said Chopper. “He [Diddy] was knocking her down and Fred started feeling a way. So that was the end of the Fred and Sara era when Diddy started f*ckin her.”
Da Band was a five-member act formed in 2002 by Diddy, in support of the MTV reality show Making The Band. The group consisted of rappers E. Ness, Babs, Dylan, Freddy P, Young City, and singer Sara Rivers. They released their debut album in 2003. The group would be dismantled in 2004.
In Young City’s latest interview, another superstar that would be mentioned of possibly having a relationship with Sara Rivers during the Making The Band days was Ginuwine. While Young City spoke on the incident, he did not confirm that Ginuwine and Sara met.
Sara Rivers, Freddy P, nor Diddy have commented on Chopper’s claims at press time. Diddy remains detained in Metropolian Detention Center in Brooklyn until his trial begins in May.
