Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs truly is the definition of “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop.” The disgraced mogul is pushing back against his remaining prostitution charges in the hopes of having his charges dismissed. His legal team is arguing that the sentence he received for prostitution charges was far too harsh. On Friday (Mar. 13), according to court documents obtained by TMZ, Diddy’s lawyers filed an appeal noting that he was already found not guilty of sex trafficking and RICO charges. That said, he received a sentence that was, per his lawyers, “four times higher than normal,” for his prostitution-related convictions.
Diddy’s lawyers call that 50-month sentence a “perversion of justice.” The attorneys also claim that the judge in Diddy’s case, Judge Arun Subramanian, engaged in what is called “acquitted conduct” sentencing, which is “the practice of increasing punishment based on rejected allegations. ” The Bad Boy founder’s team is asking the appeals court for Combs’ “immediate release and grant a judgment of acquittal or at least vacate and remand for resentencing.”

Diddy Expected To Be Released April 2028
Combs’ original release date had been slated for May 8, 2028; however, it later shifted to June 4, 2028. Now, according to court records, his projected release date is April 25, 2028. The constant revisions have only intensified the scrutiny aimed at the music mogul. Back in January, Diddy sent in a formal petition to President Donald Trump for clemency. During an interview, while Trump confirmed that he did, in fact, receive Combs’ petition, he chose not to release him.
Despite Diddy’s formal appeal, the president remains firm in his decision. Following the news of his request being denied, 50 Cent didn’t waste time trolling Diddy. Posting on Instagram, he wrote, “What part of no don’t you understand?” He followed by referencing Diddy’s past public criticism of Trump, suggesting those remarks made clemency unrealistic. The response aligned with a familiar pattern—using humor and provocation to shape the narrative online.
