Chris Brown is making headlines after his public social media activity sparked an intense debate among fans regarding his past relationship with actress Karrueche Tran.
The R&B singer drew significant attention after leaving a series of flirtatious comments on an Instagram video posted by Destiny Onaka, a woman many social media users claim bears a striking resemblance to Tran. The exchange began when Onaka, using the handle DestnyShalom, shared a video showcasing a new pixie haircut.
Brown quickly reacted to the post by dropping several fire emojis in the comments section. The interaction immediately went viral, garnering more than 55,000 likes and 1,600 replies as fans noted the physical similarities between the content creator and Brown’s high-profile ex-girlfriend.
Onaka appeared to embrace the attention from the Virginia-born artist, pinning his comment to the top of her post. The move even caught the eye of rapper Bow Wow, who joked in the comments, “@chrisbrownofficial you must be stopped,” followed by a laughing emoji.
Following Chris and Karrueche’s breakup, they have both moved on. Karreuche has been linked to Colorado head football coach Deion Sanders since July 2025.
One critic, who goes by the name DoliesTV, slammed the singer for the maneuver, calling him a “lame” individual and criticizing his fan base for supporting him. Brown did not take the criticism quietly. Brown clapped back at the user, suggesting the critic was “hurt” and mocking the fact that his personal life was being treated as “real news.”
