DDG is taking fan engagement to a new level with 7 Days 7 Nights: Hit-A-Thon, a livestreamed album-making marathon launching Monday, March 24. Viewers won’t just watch him create—they’ll help shape the project in real time.

He announced the ambitious challenge on Sunday, March 23, by dropping a 90-second teaser. The clip shows him in the studio with Baby Rich, his longtime collaborator, who looks both amused and skeptical. “Man, this album is due in three days. I still can’t believe he agreed to this,” Rich says, shaking his head.

DDG, unfazed by the tight deadline, turns to the camera. “What y’all think of that one, chat?” he asks, signaling the interactive nature of the event. Fans will select beats, decide which songs make the cut, and possibly influence other creative choices. The I’m Geekin rapper is handing over creative control in a way rarely seen in the industry.

Before wrapping up the announcement, he threw in an unexpected challenge: “Cutting my dreads at 40,000 subscribers.” The pledge adds another layer of anticipation to the event, giving fans extra incentive to tune in.

For those eager to watch the creative process unfold—or to see which surprise guests join him—the livestream kicks off at 8 p.m. ET on his Twitch channel. The 24/7 broadcast will run through March 31, giving fans plenty of time to catch the action or sift through the wave of clips that will undoubtedly flood social media.

With this bold experiment, DDG continues redefining what it means to be an artist in the digital era.
