According to reports, Diddy is facing new allegations from a woman who claims he dangled her over a high-rise balcony while threatening her life. The lawsuit also accuses him of a pattern of abusive behavior toward his former partner, Cassie. Designer Bryana “Bana” Bongolan filed the suit in Los Angeles Superior Court, seeking $10 million in damages.
The legal filings stated, “On or about September 26, 2016, Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs sexually battered Ms. Bryana ‘Bana’ Bongolan, dangled her off of a 17-story-high balcony. and then slammed her into the patio furniture on the balcony.” Additionally, the assault occurred at Cassie’s apartment, with striking similarities to a previously settled case. In that matter, Cassie described how Diddy allegedly picked up one of her friends like a child and dangled them over the edge of the 17th-floor hotel balcony.
Bongolan recalls forming a friendship with Cassie in 2014, only to later notice unsettling signs of an abusive relationship between the singer and the Bad Boy mogul. The lawsuit alleges that the incident took place while Bongolan and her girlfriend were staying at Cassie’s apartment. According to the filing, Diddy arrived in the early hours, knocking aggressively on the door. Once inside, he reportedly “lifted [Bongolan] up on the banister of the 17th floor balcony, while repeatedly yelling, ‘Do you know what the fuck you did? Do you know what the fuck you did?”
“Recognizing the threat of so many witnesses to his assault, [Diddy] pulled Ms. Bongolan back over the balcony. But he did not release her. In a last fit of violence, he slammed Ms. Bongolan onto the balcony’s patio furniture, including a table.”
Diddy Denies Allegations Amid Legal Struggles
In response to the lawsuit, Diddy’s representatives issued a statement rejecting Bongolan’s allegations.
His legal team stated, “Anyone has the right to file a lawsuit, regardless of the evidence they may or may not have. Since last year, Ms. Bongolan has expressed an intention to sue Mr. Combs and has sought legal representation to pursue her claims. Mr. Combs firmly denies these serious allegations and remains confident they will ultimately be proven baseless.”
The suit comes on the heels of Diddy’s third failed attempt to secure bail in his federal sex trafficking and racketeering case, not including the pending appeal. On November 27, Judge Arun Subramanian denied the motion, outlining his decision in a detailed five-page order. He pointed to multiple factors, including Diddy’s breaches of Bureau of Prisons communication rules and misleading statements made about evidence recovered during a recent jail cell sweep.
A key part of the ruling, however, focuses on allegations of violence. The judge noted substantial evidence of Combs’s history of violent behavior, referencing, among other incidents, the 2016 footage showing him attacking Cassie. Additionally, the court highlighted distressing text messages from Cassie, including one in which she described having “a black eye and a fat lip” and another detailing lingering bruising, expressing shock over his actions and the harm they caused.
