On Friday (Apr. 18), Doechii finally released the highly-antcipated music video for her viral track, “Anxiety.” Coming in just over four minutes, the visual offers fans a peek inside the TDE rapper’s mind. Throughout the video Doechii battles against fires, SWAT teams, and even an elephant.

Doechii uses the aforementioned incidents as a physical manifestation of her anxiety bubbling over. She even referenced Goyte’s original video for the 2010 hit “Somebody That I Used To Know,” which is sampled on the rapper’s track.
Later on in the video, Doechii shows off some of her dance skills, leading a flash mob through a quiet suburban street. The visual ends, similar to how it started, with Doechii back in her bedroom, a nod to her early beginnings where she would film and perform her songs from her bedroom.

Released in early March, Doechii uses the track’s haunting 808 drums to channel her anxious thoughts amid her meteoric rise to fame. “Solo, no mojo/I bounce back, no pogo,” she raps. Unhappy, no homo/New brands, no logos.”
However, it’s the track’s chorus that truly elevates the somber track. It almost acts as a reminder to the rapper not to let her anxiety get the best of her. “Anxiety, keep on tryin’ me/ I feel it quietly,” Doechii raps in a melodic tone. “Tryin’ to silence me, yeah/ Anxiety, shake it off of me/ Somebody’s watchin’ me/ It’s my anxiety, yeah (Brrah).”
The track would eventually inspire a popular TikTok trend. A few weeks back Will Smith and Tatyana Ali joined in on the fun, re-creating their iconic dance-off from Fresh Prince Bel-Air, with Doechii making a guest appearance. 2025 has been quite the year for Doechii. So far, she’s snatched a Grammy for her Alligator Bites Never Heal mixtape and was even named Billboard’s 2025 Woman Of The Year.
