Kai Cenat announced the upcoming live stream on social media on Wednesday evening (June 11). The livestream will support the latest Drake single, “Somebody Loves Me,” which Cenat helped find 20 fans to direct a music video for.
“First of all Thank you to everyone who shared their video submission for Somebody Loves Me,” wrote Cenat in a Instagram Story on Wendesday night. “We were blown away by the creativity and thought poured into each submission. Kendrick Lamar’s two-night Grand National Tour concert starts on Thursday, June 12, at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada. Presented by Live Nation, the night one starts at 7 PM EST, according to Ticketmaster.
Social media would express mixed reactions to Kai Cenat’s announcement immediately. Recognizing the coincidence, an Instagram user commented, “Ironic, I’m goin’ to the Kendrick concert tmr in Toronto.” Another fan followed with, “Drake on stream, Kendrick rocc’n your hometown Stadium, dammmmn Drake, this is hilarious.”
The upcoming livestream follows Kai Cenat speaking to Kendrick Lamar and SZA at the BET Awards 2025 in Los Angeles on Monday (June 10). Lamar won several awards that evening, including Album of the Year for GNX and Video of the Year for “Not Like Us.”
As Kendrick’s hit continues to rack up awards, Drake prepares to battle UMG over the track in a defamation lawsuit. In April, a judge granted Drake limited access to UMG’s records as the court considers if rap lyrics can be legally actionable.
In music news, Drake is currently preparing his forthcoming album, ICEMAN, set for a late 2025 release.
