Drake seemingly is unbothered by Kendrick Lamar’s recent Super Bowl announcement.
We previously reported that Lamar shared the news that he will be performing at the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show. “What the deal everybody, my name is Kendrick Lamar,” the video begins. “[And] I’ll be performing at Super Bowl 59. Will you be pulling up?”
He continues: “I hope so. You know it’s only one opportunity to win a championship, right? No round twos. I wouldn’t want you to miss it. Meet me in New Orleans [on] February 9, 2025. Wear your best dress too, even if you’re watching from home. Let’s go.”
He captioned the post, “Super Bowl LIX. New Orleans. February 2025.#AppleMusicHalftime.”
Drake is seemingly not fazed by the announcement. MAL of New Rory & MAL podcast says he spoke to Drake and the announcement came up briefly in the conversation. When asked to share details, MAL refused. He did, however, say, “a lot of it was just laughing, man. It’s just like ‘word this is what y’all want to see? Like okay’”.
We previously reported that Nicki Minaj addressed Lil Wayne not being asked to perform for the 2025 Super Bowl halftime performance.
“Denying a young black man what he rightfully put into this game for no other reason but your ego. Your hatred for BIRDMAN, Drake & Nicki got you punishing Lil Wayne?!?!!! LIL WAYNE!!!!!!!!!! THE GOAT?!!!!!!!!!!!” questioned Minaj.
“Nola what’s good?!!!!!! Eminem stood firm on having 50Cent come out. A white man. Shit sad. House N*GGER TINGZ. but it’s GOOD FI DEM!!!!!!! No loyalty ? Welp. then niggaz will keep son’ing you!!!!!” Nicki writes via X.
