Drake’s infamous Tupac-themed toilets are making headlines again—and this time, the timing feels a lot heavier. Back in April 2023, Lil Yachty visited Drake’s mansion and revealed that one of the rapper’s high-tech toilets played 2Pac’s “Hit ’Em Up” when the lid opened. At the time, it seemed like just another eccentric flex from the 6ix God. But now, after the “Taylor Made Freestyle” and his AI use of Tupac’s voice to diss Kendrick Lamar, the toilet choice has taken on a new, and much weirder, context.

Producer and longtime collaborator GORDO brought the toilets back into the conversation with a recent tweet: “When you use the bathroom at Drake’s house usually the toilet will play 2pac… but today I changed one toilet to play HEALING and the other one to play SIDEWAYS.” The songs he mentioned are collaborations with Drake, but fans couldn’t help but tie it back to the drama with Kendrick. One user replied, “Change it to play meet the grahams,” referencing Kendrick’s brutal diss track.

Drake previously used AI-generated vocals of Tupac and Snoop Dogg on “Taylor Made Freestyle” to mock Kendrick’s silence before “euphoria” dropped. He later continued the Tupac references on tracks like “Family Matters,” not dissing the late icon directly, but using him to take aim at K.Dot. Kendrick, of course, fired back with “Not Like Us,” flipping the entire narrative.

While Drake’s Tupac toilets were never meant to be part of a bigger statement, fans are now looking at them differently. Considering the recent feud and constant subliminals, like Drake’s new N.E.R.D. chain purchase, the smallest flexes suddenly seem loaded. It might be a reach, but in rap beefs, everything gets dissected.
