Eve is aware that her fans have noticed she has developed a British accent.
During an appearance on The Romesh Show, Eve said she’s been living in England for “almost 12 years,” and she loves it.
”I am so American still,” Eve explained. “I will say, though, if you — it’s funny, like on my socials now, when I do interviews and things, people are like, ‘Oh, I hear that British accent.’ Or my friends will say to me, ‘Did you hear what you just said?’ I’ve obviously taken on some things, but I am so loud and American still.”
Eve admitted that she didn’t think that she would stay in England for so long.
”When Max and I got married, I was kinda like, three years, tops. Three, four years … once [the kids] got older, too, I was like, ‘Oh, well, we could probably live somewhere else,’ ” Eve said.
”It’s crazy how much I feel at home here,” Eve continued.
Eve and Gumball 3000 founder Maximillion Cooper married in 2014. They welcomed their first child, Wilde Wolf, in February 2022. Eve is a proud “bonus mom” to Cooper’s four older children from a previous relationship: Lotus, Jagger, Cash, and Mini.
In a recent appearance on the Jennifer Hudson Show, Eve shared that she brought Wilde Wold with her on her most recent tour. Now she feels like a “superhero” performing across the globe in front of him.
“He’s small enough that I can take him everywhere, but he’s old enough to really remember,” she told host Jennifer Hudson. “I felt like a superhero with him watching me in a way. I’m like, ‘Wow, like I’ve had all this life and now here’s this little person.’ And me performing on stage with him watching gives it new life for me. It’s incredible.”
