Kim Kardashian is celebrating her daughter North West’s rising stardom. The SKIMS founder, 44, recently shared behind-the-scenes footage on Instagram of North, 11, appearing in FKA twigs’ music video for Childlike Things. In the caption, she expressed her admiration, writing, “Proud of my baby.”
FKA twigs later shared how North became part of the song from her new album, Eusexua. In an Instagram Reel posted on March 20, she revealed that her label suggested featuring someone with “childlike energy” to complement the track. “It needs someone who has that tenacity, who has that strong point of view that you have when you’re 11,” she explained. North delivered by rapping in Japanese, drawing inspiration from Where the Wild Things Are.
North’s career is taking off, and she’s even outshining her famous family. In a post-credits scene from The Kardashians, Kim reacted to analytics from North’s Lion King performance and was stunned by the numbers. “[North] generated 22 billion impressions and over $1 billion in advertising, media… Wait a minute. North West has 18% more popularity than all of her family members,” she said.
Realizing her daughter’s growing influence, Kim jokingly added, “Um, okay, we’re gonna have to work on this. North, you’re not gonna take me down.”
