Flau’jae Johnson isn’t just making an impact on the court for LSU, her music is also powering the Tigers’ postseason push. Mikaylah Williams told TMZ Sports that Johnson’s tracks are a locker room staple, setting the tone for the team’s success.
During a break from working a ceremonial shift at Raising Cane’s in Baton Rouge on Monday, Williams emphasized just how much the team embraces Johnson’s music. “We all love her music,” she said, revealing that the Tigers play it so often, they’ve memorized every lyric.
Johnson has been rapping for years, proving her skills to the point where Lil Wayne jumped on a track with her, teaming up for “Came Out A Beast.” And it looks like her music brings some good luck too. LSU is sitting at an impressive 28-5 record and is among the top contenders for the 2024-25 national championship.
As the team awaits its matchup for the NCAA tournament, the extra time off is a welcome break, especially for Johnson, who’s been sidelined recently with a shin injury. Williams said the team has learned valuable lessons from playing without her. She believes that once Johnson is back at full strength, LSU will be locked in for a deep tournament run.
And, of course, when the Tigers pick up big wins, they’ll celebrate the only way they know how. That means turning up to some Flau’jae bars in the locker room!
