Aubrey O’Day is speaking out following reports that several former high-level employees of Sean “Diddy” Combs have found new roles within singer Usher’s professional camp.
The Danity Kane singer, who has long been a vocal critic of her former mentor, took to social media to express her skepticism regarding the industry transition.
The controversy follows a report from Rolling Stone detailing that Kristina Khorram, Combs’ former chief of staff, is now reportedly working with Usher. Khorram is joined by two other former Combs associates: a personal assistant who previously testified during Diddy’s criminal proceedings and a former videographer. While Khorram’s exact title on Usher’s team has not been formally announced, sources indicate she is involved with the singer’s current touring operations.
“Everything is always so telling, isn’t it,” O’Day wrote in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. The singer did not hold back in her second post, adding, “I wonder if she’s still carrying the bag of colorful pills with her everywhere she goes. I thought she would never make a return back to the country after the federal trial… she must have friends in high places.”
Khorram’s move to Usher’s team has raised eyebrows due to her long-standing history at Combs Enterprises, where she was appointed chief of staff in 2020. During the high-profile legal battles surrounding Combs, Khorram was named as an alleged co-conspirator in documents related to sex trafficking and racketeering allegations.
Though she was accused of helping facilitate Combs’ infamous “freak-off” events, she was never charged with a crime or called to testify as a witness. O’Day has been consistent in sharing her own experiences with the disgraced Bad Boy Records founder. During a recent appearance on the Creator Inc podcast, she detailed a disturbing encounter at one of Combs’ parties, suggesting that he often tested the boundaries of those around him to see if they would comply with his lifestyle.
“I saw something that I believe I was meant to see ’cause he was staring in my eyes the whole time while it was happening,” O’Day said during the podcast. “I think it was like a point where he was trying to see if I was going to be down.” The news of these hires comes at a sensitive time for the music industry as it continues to grapple with the fallout of the Combs investigation.
Representatives for Usher have not yet commented on the specific roles or the vetting process involved in hiring the former Combs staffers.
