Halle Bailey has called cap on rumors suggesting she and DDG have gone their separate ways.
On Wednesday (April 17), amid swirling rumors of trouble in paradise for the couple, TMZ confirmed that the gossip was unfounded.
“The singer’s rep tells us Halle and DDG are still together and that all the reports they’ve split are straight-up false — point blank,” the outlet reports.
“The reason this even had to be addressed is because folks were running rampant with rumors that they’d thrown in the towel recently.”
We previously reported that after some detective work, social media users noticed that the couple, who welcomed their first child, Halo, late last year, had seemingly unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Interestingly, both parties also appeared to have removed all content featuring each other from their social media feeds.
The breakup rumors heightened after DDG opened up about the pair’s realtionship woes during a candid interview with VladTV. Reflecting on past tensions, he recalled an incident where he DM’d Rubi Rose, admitting it was out of spite during a “really, really, really rough patch.”
He explained, “I did it in front of her. I had no intention of actually linking with Rubi Rose. She saw it. Imagine you’re arguing with your girl and you get mad at her for something. ‘I’m finna do this. Watch this,’ type shit.”
“I feel like the whole situation was taken out of context,” he added.
Last month, The Little Mermaid star celebrated her 24th birthday alongside her family during a trip to the tropics.
“this is 24 🥰🎉💘🎂,” she wrote on Instagram, sharing a carousel of photos featuring her family, all smiles and covered in mud.
