Somebody is out for French Montana!
According to a report, someone tried to “sucker punch” him, but failed. Unfortunately, someone else in his crew got hit.
The incident happened this morning (August 27th) as French was leaving the Amish Market in Tribeca. Someone reportedly “jumped at him,” but missed.
Although the footage wasn’t captured, TMZ was able to capture moments afterward . The “No Stylist” rapper can be seen yelling at his security for not doing their job properly.
It’s not clear what caused the attack. Yesterday (August 26th) at the VMA’s, French presented the Best Latin Video award alongside actress, Alison Brie. Since this award was a celebration of cultures, the presenters used that opportunity to share their comments on Immigration in the U.S.
French said,
“As an immigrant, I feel like we are the people that make this country and I feel like I wanna be the voice.”
It’s unclear if his comments had anything to do with the attack, we’ll keep you posted!
