It’s been a six whole years since Kendrick Lamar released his 3x Platinum album Good Kid, M.AA.D City, and the legendary rapper has been on a role since! Here are six other dope things that he has worked on since its release.

1. The “Humble” Music Video

Kendrick Lamar’s Damn album did extremely well and topped the charts in the United States and Canada. One of its official singles “Humble” had one of the greatest videos of 2017. Directed by Dave Meyers, the visuals were certainly like none other.

2. The Pulitzer Prize

The California native is the first non-classical or jazz artist to win the Pulitzer Prize. Kendrick won this award for Damn, which was released in April of 2017. This album also won five Grammy awards, wow!

3. He Interviewed Quincy Jones For Netflix

I mean, what is more legendary than this? Two musical legends both young and old sat down for a conversation. Make sure you check out the Quincy Jones documentary on Netflix! It is extremely dope.

4. The Black Panther Soundtrack

Kendrick Lamar co-produced this soundtrack alongside Top Dawg Entertainment president Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith and director Ryan Coogler. This is a huge deal considering that Black Panther was the most anticipated film of the year!

5. The “Mona Lisa” Feature

Many believe this song to be the best song of 2018, and Kendrick’s verse on the track is just straight up fire. He uses about two of his different rap verses and for sure gets into character.

6. His Motivtional Chat with The LA Lakers

Just one day after the Lakers lost their season-opening game against Portland, Kendrick Lamar came and spoke to the team about sacrifice, preparation and releasing negativity. Well alright motivational Kendrick!
