H&M is trying really hard to get back into everyone’s good graces.
According to H&M’s Facebook page they are deeply sorry for the insensitive item of clothing that read “Coolest monkey in the jungle” modeled by a Black child and resorted to removing the sweatshirt from their collection altogether.
Not only did they get rid of the controversial sweatshirt, they hired a new “Diversity Leader” to help prevent these issues from happening again.
Just in case some of you forgot, celebrities such as The Weeknd, Diddy, and G- Eazy were not pleased with H&M and the release of that ad.
Many of them even opted to stop working with the company.
