Ice Spice isn’t usually quick to talk about her private life, but she recently opened up while sitting down with Keke Palmer. On the Baby, This Is Keke Palmer podcast, the rapper from the Bronx shared how tricky it can be to separate her career from the constant interest in her personal world.
Palmer asked why she tends to keep certain details away from the public. Ice explained that her efforts to stay discreet don’t always work. “I try to keep it private, but it’s just like whatever. I’ll try to keep it private, and then it’s like I’m at the grocery store, and then now it’s not private,” she admitted.
Her comments came as she reflected on confirming her relationship with NFL player Sauce Gardner. She acknowledged that she revealed it herself, saying, “Yeah, I did confirm that on my Instagram.” What surprised her was how much attention it generated. “I didn’t think it would be such a big deal, but it really is a big deal,” Ice said.
Although the reaction was overwhelming at first, she recognized why fans are so curious. “It is entertaining ‘cause when I was growing up, looking at people I looked up to, I would be all in they business, too. So, I get it. Like, I really do understand.”
The conversation shifted when Palmer touched on Ice’s bisexuality. Palmer suggested that sharing that aspect of herself wasn’t required. Ice, however, pushed back lightly, replying, “I didn’t?” That sparked a playful exchange, with Palmer asking if she might be her type. Without missing a beat, Ice responded, “I think you are. Keke’s my type, guys.”
