Ice-T, 66, has a formidable history in hip-hop, including past feuds with LL Cool J, Soulja Boy, and the police. Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s rap battle is considered the greatest, but the legendary entertainer disagrees. “I’m sorry if I’m not interested in current Rap Beef or random Male Gossip,” he tweeted on Friday (May 3). “I’m a HUSTLER. I’m only focused on the Bag.”

Kendrick Lamar and Drake have been at war since the release of the Future, Metro Boomin, and Kendrick’s track “Like That” in March. Drake responded with “Push Ups,” a diss track that attacked Future, Metro Boomin, Rick Ross, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, and Ja Morant. Kendrick responded to Drake with “Euphoria.”

Drake and Kendrick Lamar exchanged diss tracks with “Taylor Made Freestyle,” “6:16 In LA,” “Family Matters,” “Meet The Grahams,” “Not Like Us,” and “The Heart Pt. 6.” Other rap stars have taken sides in the beef as the diss tracks make the charts. Hip-Hop awaits a response by Kendrick Lamar after Drake’s “The Heart Pt. 6.”

The comments under the Law & Order: SVU star’s social media post on the subject were met with various remarks. Some agreed with the message, while others suggested that the beef wasn’t for his age group. Agreeing with Ice-T, one user writes, “I agree how is grown men talking trash about each other through raps even remotely entertaining? I cleaned my timeline today because i just can’t get into it.”

Another follower on Instagram comments, “It’s kids like my son that is deciphering lyrics and we having conversations about rap battles is golden for me. You might not care now but you did at one time in your career when you and LL went at it..”

Hip-hop pioneer Chuck D commented, “Berg ain’t never lied. I appropriated 33% of his game, and it’s done my vision good. The other 67% is all Superman sht: either you got it or you don’t. Acting, TV movies, cars, and FlySht are that other level.”

Ice-T has expressed his views on hip-hop in the past, which led to a beef with Soulja Boy in 2008. Ice-T once stated that Soulja Boy was solely responsible for killing hip-hop. He later shared his regret over this claim in 2018.

In 2023, Ice-T would end his decades-long feud with LL Cool J. The two legends fired shots at each other throughout the 90s over who was the best rapper. He repeatedly said that the beef never escalated past words because it was only a “rap beef.”
