Iman Shumpert, NBA champion and entertainer, jokes about his recent divorce from Teyana Taylor in a new viral skit.

The 34-year-old Chicago native finalized his divorce from Taylor in June after seven years of marriage. A Fulton County judge ordered Shumpert to pay his ex-wife a one-time seven-figure payment and $8,000 monthly in child support. The couple share two children together.

In a clip shared to his Instagram account on Monday (July 15), Shumpert is seen walking to his vehicle while Chicago content creator Trenell Adams is repossessing it. “Hold on man, hold on man, you gave that lady a million dollars, man,” says Adams as he restricts Iman from entering the vehicle. “You can’t afford this no more.”

As Adams drives off, he hilariously yells, “Repo man.”

An annoyed Iman Shumpert reaction with, “Ya’ll overdoing everything, bro? Everything? Everything?”

The skit has gained over 23,000 likes in less than 24 hours. It follows a previous skit released on Monday, which co-stars Chicago content creators Reko SoFunny and Amber Precious.

Shumpert and Taylor’s divorce made headlines, with Iman requesting payment from Taylor and Taylor revealing the couple’s infidelities while testifying. Taylor told the judge that Iman’s “sleepovers” confused their children.

Iman and Teyana married in October 2016. They had their first child, Junie, in 2013, and their second daughter, Rue Rose, was born in 2022. Teyana announced their separation in September 2022.

Iman recently appeared in a recurring role on the new Prime Video series Them and ended his recurring role on The Chi in season six. He was a contestant on Dancing With The Stars in 2021. He is the creator, founder, and host of the “Iman Amongst Men” podcast.
