Ja Rule appears to be moving on from the viral interaction he had with G-Unit affiliates Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda on a plane. TMZ recently caught up with the rapper to address the public apology he made following the incident. According to Ja, it was the right thing to do, and he has no regrets. “I’m a grown man,” he says. However, when asked if he would settle his differences with 50 Cent and G-Unit, he made it clear that it won’t be happening anytime soon.

While Ja believes that the two may never be friends, they also don’t have to antagonize one another. “Sometimes in life people have enemies, and that’s okay,” he says. “But we also don’t have to be at war.” The rapper also addressed the incident on the TODAY show. In Ja’s opinion, “nothing really happened” between him, Tonay Yayo, and Uncle Murda. Despite his shrugging off the incident, he did note that it was a teaching moment for his sons on how to handle conflict.

“I live by a code,” Ja Rule Says

“There’s a responsibility that we have to be gentlemen. I live by a code. I call it the gentleman’s code. But I’m also raising young men. So you have to let them know that there’s no room for disrespect, but also that there’s a way to carry yourself. So two things can be true. Disrespect is not tolerated, but there is a way you carry yourself in certain spaces,” Ja says. Last week, following his run-in with Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda, Ja Rule issued a public apology to his friends and family.

“I’m not proud of my behavior, it’s goofy to me,” Ja wrote in an Instagram post shared on Thursday (Feb.12). The rapper admits he wished the video wasn’t circulating online and that it depicts him being out of character. “I’m a grown man about to be a grandfather, and I wish that video of me wasn’t out there either,” he continued.”I don’t like people taking me out of my character, so for that, I apologize to my wife, family, fans, business, and investment partners.
