Jamie Foxx Left With Stitches After Restaurant Altercation

Jamie Foxx is on the mend after a recent altercation at a Los Angeles restaurant, TMZ reports. On Tuesday, (Dec. 10), while celebrating his 57th birthday at Mr. Chow’s (a popular restaurant of the stars in Los Angeles), he gets into a confrontation with a group across from his table. According to witnesses, the other customers were rude and vulgar to the comedian. When Jamie Foxx asked the group to stop, in light of his family’s presence, they refused. Sources say that someone in the group responds to Foxx’s plea with a glass to his face.

Another source confirms to TMZ that law enforcement promptly arrived after the melee, but Foxx and his family left by then. Jamie Foxx’s representative reached the outlet the following day to give a statement. “Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth. He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called, and the matter is now in law enforcement’s hands.”

Jamie Foxx’s Long Road To Recovery

Along with his birthday, Jamie Foxx is also celebrating the release of his Netflix special, What Had Happened Was. Throughout the heartfelt stand-up show, Foxx treks through his recent health battles. The actor and comedian revealed that a stroke is behind the issue due and issue to a brain bleed. Foxx also talked about his health journey in July during a gathering with close friends. A video of the conversation later circulates on social media.

He recounts how he took an Advil for a headache on April 11 and woke up 20 days later with no memory of what had happened. “Look, April 11th last year, I [had] [a] bad headache [and] asked my boy for an Advil [clicks fingers], [and] I was gone for 20 days. I don’t remember anything,” Foxx revealed. He mentioned that his sister and daughter took him to a doctor in Atlanta, who indicated something was wrong. “The next doctor said, ‘There’s something going on up there,’” he added, pointing to his head, but chose not to elaborate further on camera.
