In recent developments, Jay Rock has found himself entangled in legal issues following an arrest on firearms charges. The incident occurred on March 13, 2025, when the LAPD apprehended him after a brief foot pursuit in his hometown of Watts, California, as reported by NBC4 Los Angeles.

Initially, Rock was stopped by police for reportedly trespassing and consuming alcohol in public within the Nickerson Gardens housing projects, a place significant to his upbringing. When officers failed to provide clarity on his detention, the 39-year-old artist fled his vehicle, prompting a chase that ended with his apprehension.
