As the ongoing lawsuit accusing JAY-Z of raping a 13-year-old girl escalates, the claims surrounding this matter have intensified as well. According to reports, prosecutor Tony Buzbee, who represents the accuser Jane Doe, has claimed that Hov and his attorneys have tried to illegally bribe his clients in an attempt to shut down any legal pursuits against him.
Buzbee took to social media, alleging the mogul’s legal team suggested a $1000 payment to at least one of his clients. Furthermore, he posted a photo of the supposed “investigators,” along with a transcription of a recorded conversation between JAY’s lawyers and his client. Buzbee stated, “‘Investigators’ from New York have contacted many of our law firm’s current and former clients.” “These investigators aren’t very smart. What they didn’t anticipate was one of the clients decided to record the conversation.”
He continued, “It’s shocking, and illegal. Here is a portion taken directly from the transcript of the contact.” The audio recording allegedly exposes Hov’s private investigators, offering Buzbee’s client to “get paid,” referencing another person awarded $1000 to “get on the right path.”
Speaking with Deadline, the attorney affirmed, “JAY-Z’s team is desperate and seemingly out of control. Their investigators have recently been caught on tape offering current clients of our firm one thousand dollars to sue our firm.” “This conduct is reprehensible and illegal. There will be consequences coming soon.”
JAY-Z Responds to Coercion Allegations in Lawsuit Against Buzbee
Just as JAY-Z’s legal team leveled explosive accusations against the Texas attorney, alleging he pressured a witness to fabricate rape claims against Diddy, Buzbee swiftly countered with allegations of his own. An anonymous woman reportedly reached out earlier this week, detailing her interactions with Buzbee’s firm. According to the filing, she had first contacted the company in October to discuss trafficking and abuse allegations unrelated to either Diddy or JAY-Z.
The firm is accused of manipulating her narrative to implicate Diddy, reportedly inquiring about her encounters with the Bad Boy mogul and urging her to file an anonymous lawsuit—a step she declined to take. The court documents state, “She felt directed and coached by Mr. Buzbee’s firm to say that someone held her down and put drugs in her mouth when that was not her experience. She felt forced to lie.” “When the woman made clear she was unwilling to adapt to the narrative Mr. Buzbee’s firm laid out and wanted only to speak her truth, she was dropped as a client.”
Recently entangled in legal battles with past clients, Buzbee has called the allegations “patently ridiculous.” The claims, outlined in a lawsuit filed Sunday (December 8), accuse JAY-Z and Diddy of sexually assaulting a teenager at an MTV VMAs afterparty over two decades ago.
Hov dismissed the “heinous” accusations in a sharply worded social media post, condemning Buzbee as a “deplorable figure” with a controversial track record in the legal world. In a further twist, it emerged that Hov had quietly filed an extortion lawsuit against Buzbee earlier in November under an anonymous identity.
