Jay-Z wants to get the new allegations exonerated and behind him quickly.

AllHipHop reported on Monday (Dec. 9) that the mogul demanded an expedited federal court hearing to address allegations his legal team denounces as baseless and damaging to his reputation. His attorney, Alex Spiro, has accused Texas lawyer Tony Buzbee of orchestrating what he called “a shakedown,” aimed at pressuring a settlement while tarnishing Jay-Z’s public image.

In a formal request filed, Spiro emphasized the urgency of the matter.

“Given the sensitive nature of these claims and the intense media attention surrounding them, we respectfully request an expedited hearing. For clarity, Mr. Carter is completely innocent. This is nothing more than a calculated attempt to exploit his name,” Spiro stated.

The lawsuit, originally filed in October with Sean “Diddy” Combs as the sole defendant, was amended on Sunday (December 8) to include JAY-Z. The anonymous plaintiff, identified as “Jane Doe,” alleges she was drugged and assaulted at a party following an encounter with a limousine driver outside Radio City Music Hall. According to the suit, the driver suggested she attend the event, claiming she “fit what Diddy was looking for.”

Doe alleges she was given a drink that incapacitated her and has maintained anonymity throughout the proceedings. However, JAY-Z’s legal team is challenging her request to remain anonymous, citing the need for judicial transparency.

“Transparency in legal proceedings is essential,” Spiro argued. “The plaintiff has not provided a compelling reason to deviate from this principle.”

Spiro also condemned Buzbee’s tactics, accusing him of leveraging media coverage to amplify unproven allegations and manipulate public perception. “This deliberate misinformation campaign seeks to pressure my client into settling baseless claims,” Spiro said. “It highlights the urgent need for a swift hearing to prevent further harm.”

JAY-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, has categorically denied the accusations. In a strongly worded statement, he described the lawsuit as a calculated act of extortion.

“My lawyer received a blackmail attempt disguised as a demand letter from Tony Buzbee,” he said. “He assumed the weight of these accusations and public scrutiny would force me to settle. Instead, it had the opposite effect—it motivated me to expose him publicly. I will not pay a single penny.”

Carter further urged Buzbee to file a criminal complaint if the allegations held any truth. “If these claims are valid, pursue justice through the criminal system. Real victims deserve real justice, and those guilty of such heinous acts should face the full weight of the law.”

Spiro has called for the lawsuit’s dismissal, asserting it lacks credible evidence. He emphasized the need for prompt legal action to protect JAY-Z’s reputation and prevent further damage.
