On Dec.8, a lawsuit was filed against Jay-Z and Diddy, alleging they sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl. However, it didn’t take long for the Brooklyn native to fire back against the heinous allegation. He believes he’s a victim of “blackmail” and the plaintiff’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, is exploiting the media attention surrounding Diddy.

“What he had calculated was the nature of the allegations, and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle,” the rapper said in a statement posted to Roc Nation’s X account. “No, sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a very public fashion. So, no, I will not give you one red penny!”

“My only heartbreak is for my family,” Jay-Z says

Jay-Z says he’s got no problem going into criminal court to fight for his public image. “I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?” The Roc Nation CEO also noted that Buzbee has some allegations of his own to worry about. Buzbee is currently facing an extortion lawsuit from an unknown “high-profile” celebrity.

The music mogul also discussed the negative implications these allegations could have on his family. “My only heartbreak is for my family. My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims and explain the cruelty and greed of people. I mourn yet another loss of innocence.”
