JAY-Z and Beyoncé have been cleared of any involvement in a contentious lawsuit that accused them of witnessing a sexual assault at a party thrown by Diddy. Initially, the lawsuit, filed by Manzaro Joseph, named the couple alongside notable figures such as LeBron James, celebrity jeweler Jacob Arabo, and the Estefans. However, an amended version of the complaint has since removed any reference to the Carters, following intervention from JAY-Z’s lawyer, Alex Spiro. Spiro presented evidence showing that the couple was not in Miami when the alleged incident occurred, leading to the removal of their names from the case.
The original lawsuit described a wild scenario where Diddy allegedly hosted a birthday party for his son at the Estefans’ mansion in Miami. Joseph claimed he was drugged and forced to wear a penis mask at the event. He further alleged that Gloria Estefan called for medical help after seeing his drug-induced state, and he later saw LeBron James at the party, who supposedly said, “Y’all better do something about that!” Joseph claimed he was then led to Diddy’s mansion through a hidden passage by porn star Adria English, where he supposedly saw JAY-Z and Beyoncé. In his version of events, he even quoted Beyoncé asking, “What’s this? What’s this all about? Why is this half-naked white man with a cock mask standing here in front of me?” However, these claims were removed in an amended lawsuit.
Both JAY-Z’s and LeBron James’ legal teams quickly shot down the allegations, with Spiro stating that JAY-Z had verifiable public engagements elsewhere at the time. LeBron’s lawyers also denied the claims, pointing to his basketball schedule in Cleveland. Diddy’s legal team has also dismissed the accusations as part of the ongoing legal challenges he faces.
