Jay-Z Launching Roc Nation School Of Music, Sports & Entertainment w/ LIU

Jay-Z is teaming up with Long Island University in Brooklyn!

Reported on news sources, Hov is joining forces with the campus to launch the Roc Nation School Of Music, Sports, and Entertainment. The school will offer a variety of programs to young adults. 

College students can apply for the fall 2021 semester. They will learn from university professors and engage with special guest artists and lecturers. Internships will also be available as well as a network of professional contacts, Rap-Up reports. 

“Roc Nation Hope Scholarships will be awarded to 25 percent of the incoming freshmen class. These scholars will graduate from the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports & Entertainment debt-free, and will receive individualized support and mentorship.”

The Roc Nation school will also offer programs for aspiring students. High schoolers will have the opportunity to enroll in summer residential camps. Students 10-18 can attend year-round Saturday music and sports programs, starting in 2021. 

Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez said,

“We’re excited that the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports & Entertainment will provide unique insight, knowledge, and experiences for students and introduce the world to the next generation of unmatched talent.” Perez also said that the partnership with LIU is a true investment in our community.
